CBN injects $218.41m, CNY 18m into forex market

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) yesterday continued with its intervention in the inter-bank foreign exchange market by injecting the sum of $218.41million into the retail Secondary Market Intervention Sales (SMIS) and Chinese Yuan (CNY) 18million in the spot and short-tenored forwards segment of the market. Fire guts Maryam Babangida Girls College staff quarters

Properties worth millions of naira were burnt after a mysterious fire razed the staff quarters of the Maryam Babangida Girls Science Secondary School on Thursday. The Akwa Ibom State Police Command yesterday said it had arrested five suspects involved in child trafficking, theft and abduction of underaged children.
