Resurgent Iheanacho maintains Leicester City momentum with Aston Villa strike

Kelechi Iheanacho scored his fourth goal of the season to help Leicester City to a 4-1 victory against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Before his strike, the Nigerian had assisted Jammie Vardy to put the Foxes ahead in the 20th minute.
Four minutes before the half-time break, he doubled their advantage after converting James Maddison’s cross at the near post with the aid of Ezri Konsa’s deflection.

Sadiq Umar scores 11th league goal of the season in Partizan win

Sadiq Umar scored his 11th goal in the Serbian Super Liga as Partizan defeated Rad Beograd 2-1.
Umar who is currently on a season-long loan from Roma opened the scoring for Partizan with his effort just after the half hour-mark on Sunday.
The strike made the Nigerian forward the joint-highest goalscorer in the Serbian top-flight with 11 goals after 16 matches.

Later in the second half, Guinea’s Seydouba Soumah secured maximum points for Partizan with his match-winning goal in the 53rd minute which moved them to third on the league table with 41 points after 19 games.

VIDEO: Woman pushed out of wheelchair by man trying to steal it

This is the moment a man allegedly tried to steal a disabled woman’s wheelchair from her on a train.
The woman was sitting on the train in Phoenix, Arizona, when she was tipped out of her seat.
The woman tried to hold on, but was thrown onto the floor by the suspect. Other rail users intervened and following a manhunt, Austin Shurbutt, 26, was taken into custody.
He was seen running from the scene wearing reindeer slippers after witnesses intervened and retrieved the wheelchair last Friday.

Presidency gives reasons DSS is detaining Sowore

The Presidency on Sunday gave reasons why the Department of State Services, DSS is detaining the convener of RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore.
While giving the reasons in a statement, the presidency noted that following Sowore’s actions, the DSS does not need the permission of President Muhammadu Buhari to do its work whenever it needs to act.

SERAP gives 36 states 7 days to disclose payments of pensions to ex-governors, others

Scio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has sent a Freedom of Information Act request to the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Governors’ Forum, Ekiti state governor Dr Kayode Fayemi and Sokoto state governor Aminu Tambuwal, and other 34 governors urging them to use their “leadership position to urgently disclose details of payment of pensions to former governors and other ex-officials between 1999 and 2019 under your state’s pension law, and to provide a copy of the said pension law.”
