NPFL: Makinwa hails Katsina Utd’s defensive masterclass at Akwa Utd
Katsina United head coach Henry Makinwa has hailed his side’s defensive masterclass which earned them a 0-0 draw against Akwa United in a 2019/20 NPFL game decided at the Nest of Champions in Uyo on Wednesday.
The away side, shorn of many first-team regulars produced a resolute performance to frustrate their hosts for the most parts of the Match Day 4 game. Makinwa was a grateful man after the game.
“It’s a defensive masterclass; and when you know how to do it very well, you get the point and that’s a fair result,” said Makinwa to npfl.ng after the game.

NPFL Matchday 4: MFM survive Warri Wolves scare, Sunshine Stars silence Enyimba
Sunshine Stars defeated Enyimba 1-0 to earn their first victory of this season’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Anthony Omaka’s seventh-minute strike was all Kabiru Dogo’s men needed to tame the People’s Elephants at the Akure Township Stadium. The defeat was Enyimba’s first in the NPFL this season and they will be hoping to bounce back when they host strugglers Adamawa United on Sunday.
At the Agege Stadium, MFM would have Adeniji Adewole to thank as the forward scored at the death to ensure their tie with Warri Wolves ended 1-1.

However, he feels that the groundwork was not laid for him to do so in previous jobs, whilst he believes that Spurs have an academy that can be utilized.
