Adeleke to unveil St John’s alumni N20m alma mater roads upgrade

Pace-setting old students of St. John’s Grammar School, Ile-Ife will today break new grounds with the commissioning of a N20 million road upgraded with 5,965 inter-locking blocks. the project is the brainchild of the 1979 to 1984 set, the road is 150 metres length and six metres wide with dual bellmouth at both ends. Benue moves LG election to Nov 16

The Benue State Independent Electoral Commission has postponed the state’s local government election from July 6 to November 16, 2024. The Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) has sealed up 531 illegal pharmacies and patent medicines premises in the Federal Capital Territory, for various offences. Meanwhile, the council has concluded plans to introduce an online platform designed to monitor drugs and enhance the regulation of pharmacy practices in the country. 28,000 Nigerians die annually due to tobacco use

The Nigeria Tobacco Control Alliance (NTCA) has expressed concern over the death of some 28,000 Nigerians annually due to the use of tobacco products. NTCA chairman, Mr Akinbode Oluwafemi, while speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Friday, warned that if the trend continues, the number of fatalities arising from the use of tobacco products would rise significantly in the years ahead.
