Ralf Rangnick has explained why Jurgen Klopp has signed so many of his former players while in charge at Liverpool, insisting they share the “same mentality”.
As reported by Goal, Liverpool are set to sign Red Bull Salzburg winger Takumi Minamino for a bargain fee in January, with his release clause set at just £7.25 million ($9.6m).
The 24-year-old shone for the Austrian side during their 2019-20 Champions League campaign, which came to an end on Tuesday as they suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to the Reds.

Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori signs new five-year contract
Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori has signed a new five-year contract, tying him to the Stamford Bridge club until the summer of 2024.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season in west London, making 16 appearances in all competitions as well as earning his first England cap in last month’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Kosovo.

Ogenyi Onazi made his much-awaited return for Trabzonspor in their 2-0 Europa League loss against Basel on Thursday.

MLB removes marijuana from ‘drugs of abuse,’ to test players for opioids
Major League Baseball (MLB) will remove marijuana from its list of banned substances and players who test positive for opioids, fentanyl, cocaine and synthetic THC under random drug tests will be referred for treatment before being disciplined, the league’s updated drug policy announced on Thursday.
The sweeping changes, which take effect from Spring Training in 2020, “favor a treatment-based approach to Drugs of Abuse,” according to the joint announcement from the MLB and its players’ union.

Visa procurement hindering Nigerian squash team’s departure for world championships
Delay in obtaining entry visas to the U.S. is currently hindering the departure of Nigeria’s male squash team to the World Team Championships which begins in Washington on Sunday.
Uchenna Uba, Media Officer of Nigeria Squash Federation (NSF), told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Abuja they were however still hopeful the visas would be approved soon.
He also said four players and a coach would be making the trip for the event.
