E2%80%95-klopp/ Messi the best of this generation but Van Dijk deserves Ballon d’Or ? Klopp
Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has described Lionel Messi as the best player of this generation but stressed Virgil van Dijk should win the 2019 Ballon d’Or.
The Reds defender is a slight favourite for the award to be handed out in December after being named UEFA’s best player and also securing top place in this year’s Goal 50.
Messi remains firmly in contention for a sixth Ballon d’Or though and did edge out Van Dijk for FIFA’s The Best award in September, claiming eight more votes than the Dutchman.

Arsenal fans have united once again to call on the Gunners’ hierarchy and owner Stan Kroenke to take ‘urgent’ action to arrest the club’s current slide – claiming it feels ‘rudderless’.
Prominent supporters groups, websites and bloggers hit the headlines in the summer when they joined together to launch the highly publicized #WeCareDoYou campaign.
Along with a statement detailing their concerns about the direction the club was heading under the ownership of Kroenke, a petition was also launched which attracted more than 100,000 signatures.

E2%80%95-guardiola-concedes-man-city-face-struggle-to-retain-title/ ‘Liverpool look unstoppable’ ? Guardiola concedes Man City face struggle to retain title
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is philosophical about his side’s chances of retaining the Premier League, conceding that Liverpool looks “unstoppable” in the title race.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have yet to lose in the Premier League this season, winning 12 and drawing one of their opening 13 games to build up an eight-point lead at the top of the table.
Taking last season into account, the Reds are unbeaten in 30 Premier League matches stretching back to a defeat against Manchester City at Etihad Stadium at the start of January

E2%80%95-buck/ Abramovich to fend off ‘bargain’ bids for Chelsea as he remains ‘intimately involved’ ? Buck
Roman Abramovich remains “intimately involved” at Chelsea, says club chairman Bruce Buck, with the Russian set to fend off any investors who believe a “bargain” bid could land control of the Blues.
Questions have been asked of a billionaire owner at Stamford Bridge in recent times. The elaborate spending which accompanied Abramovich’s arrival in west London back in 2003 has been reined in over recent years, while the 53-year-old attends fewer games.
Part of the problem has been visa issues in Britain, with a man born in Saratov having to take Israeli citizenship in May 2018 in order to remain hands-on in England.

Two-goal hero Mbaoma hopes to score more for Enyimba
Striker Victor Mbaoma starred in what turned out to be a routine victory for defending league champions Enyimba over newly-promoted Adamawa United at the Enyimba Stadium in Aba on Sunday, the 2-0 scoreline graciously flattering the visitors.
But for hitherto reliable winger Reuben Bala who squandered at least three good scoring opportunities, the two first-half goals scored by Mbaoma could have easily served as appetizers for a goal-fest that never manifested.
Mbaoma’s 20th and 26th-minute goals were his first league goals of the season – he already has one in the CAF Confederation Cup – for the People’s Elephant and was a happy return for the striker.

The Seasiders who came into the game unbeaten in the division following a win and three draws from their opening four games of the campaign had no answers to Stephen Gopey’s 37th-minute strike.
Hosts Warri Wolves got the first chance of the day from a corner kick, just a few minutes into the game with Michael Egbeta’s cross into the box deflected for a corner.
