Speaking in Belfast, Essex Police Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Stoten urged the brothers to “hand yourselves in to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.’’
The police earlier arrested the 25-year-old Northern Irish driver of the lorry that collected the container from the British freight port of Purleet, near London, after it was shipped from Zeebrugge in Belgium.
Ronan Hughes, 40, and Christopher Hughes, 34, are also from Northern Ireland and run a haulage business.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele says Edo can generate more than 200,000 jobs and millions of dollars in foreign exchange from supporting cultivation and processing of palm oil.
Emefiele, said this at the first convocation lecture of Edo State University, Iyamho, Auchi, on Friday.
In his lecture entitled “The Role of Monetary Policy towards Economic Growth in Nigeria”, Emefiele said agriculture was one of the surest ways of growing the economy.

Ghana Traders lock Nigerian owned shops
The Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) on Thursday in anger locked up shops owned by foreigners, mainly Nigerians in Kumasi, Ghana.
This is the second time such action is taken by the association against Nigerian retailers in their country.
GUTA justifies its action was based on the violation of the Ghanaian law. The foreign retailers according to their claim violated section 27 of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) Act 865.

Ligue 1: PSG stunned in shock away defeat to Dijon
Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at struggling Dijon in Friday’s clash at Stade Gaston Gerard.
The home side had never previously beaten PSG in eight top-flight attempts and it appeared the game would run true to form when they found themselves a goal down through Kylian Mbappe’s clinical strike.
PSG twice hit the frame of the goal and missed a glut of late chances as they went in search of a leveler that did not arrive, meaning just a third loss of the season in all competitions.

Former Barcelona and Inter Milan football player, Samuel Eto’o Fils in confidence and assurance of his self-worth claimed that he is the best player ever in the Africa continent.
The retired Cameroon footballer said he has a wonderful career and has no need of claiming anything because it is a fact and indisputable.
Speaking to AFP, Eto’o said; “I don’t need to lay claim to anything, it’s just a fact. Whether you accept it or not, it’s a fact,”
Eto’o recently announced his retirement from football at the age of 38 and says he is at peace with his decision.

Apple asks U.S. to waive tariffs on it’s Chinese-made products
Apple Inc asked the Trump administration to waive tariffs on Chinese-made Apple Watches, iPhone components and other consumer products, according to company filings with the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office.
The company on Thursday sought tariff exclusions from 11 products, including HomePod speakers, iMac computers, parts for use in repairing iPhones, iPhone smart battery cases, AirPods and others. The public has until Nov. 14 to submit comments on the requests.

Senate urges FG to settle N400 billion pension liability
The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Pension Matters, Sen. Ibrahim Shekarau, has urged the Federal Government to pay the over N400 billion it is owing pensioners under the Contributory Pension Scheme.
Shekarau made the call on Friday in Lokoja while assessing the ongoing data capturing and verification of Federal pensioners in the state by the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PITAD).
He said that the amount represented the difference of 2.5 per cent from 7.5 per cent to 10 per cent in the contribution of the Federal Government which had accumulated over the years.
